Genetic Diversity and Physicochemical Characteristics of Different Wheat Species (Triticum aestivum L., Triticum monococcum L., Triticum spelta L.) Cultivated in Romania

Thirty-one varieties of wheat cultivated in Romania were analyzed regarding the genetic diversity and physicochemical properties, including following determinations: moisture, ash, protein, wet gluten, lipid, starch content, falling number damaged starch, considering particularity each species, its biological status origin. The data showed that samples presented large variability. properties flour assessed by multivariable analysis, using principal component analysis (PCA). All clustered together according to their an association between all species. protein ash contents more related ancient while amounts associated with modern ones. Positive correlations obtained gluten content lipid content. ISSR markers used analyze compare among selected cultivars. NTSYSpc software coefficients similarity (Jaccard) dissimilarity (Neighbor joining). Jaccard varied from 0.53 1, reflecting high characteristic varieties.
